Christmas in Louisiana!!!!

This year we spent Christmas in Louisiana. We alternate each year here and there. My mother's family is from Slidell, Louisiana...a 9 hour drive. Now normally we would get up extremely early to being our long drive but this was the first time having to take it with an infant. I was a little nervous about how Peyton would do on such a long drive. Turns out she did excellent!! We left at 1pm on Wed and only had to stop once to feed and change her half way through, and then she slept the rest of the drive. At one time I did have to climb into the back seat to entertain her but then she went back to sleep. We got there at about 9:50pm. This was the first time for my Grandparents to meet their Great Granddaughter!!
Grandmama & Pops!!!
It was so sweet, they fell in love with her at first sight! I would have figured that Peyton would not have wanted to go to sleep that night but she took her bottle, played with Pops and Grandmama and then was able to sleep all night!!

I am so excited that Peyton was able to meet the rest of her family over the few days that we were in Louisiana!! She was handed from person to person on a daily basis but overall did very well with all the new faces.

Peyton's 1st Christmas Experience:

On Christmas Eve we had our traditional roast beef po boy dinner and exchanged gifts with the Grandkids, Aunts and Uncles, and Parents.  My Grandpa sits by the tree and calls out each gift. This is something that I look forward to every time we go to Louisiana, not for the gifts but for the time spent with my family that I do not see but once maybe twice a year.
Peyton was all dressed up nice and pretty in her red Christmas dress ( thanks to Gamma), however she fell asleep right after opening presents. I had to settle for her being asleep in our family photo by the tree, then of course after I change her she wakes up haha. I was so excited for Santa to come and visit Peyton. Even though she was fast asleep we set out cookies and hung up her stocking for Santa to come.  This was such a fun experience for me even though she is too little to understand Santa yet, I had a great time =)
1st Christmas Eve

Christmas Morning....
Weezer, Paw Paw & Peyton
Up and early at 6:30 am! I could not wait for her to get up and for us to wake the rest of the house. Im such a nerd, she is not even able to talk and I was sooo excited to get photos of what Santa brought. Everything was by the tree with a few ribbons and a full stocking!  My sister, parents, Uncle B, and Grandparents were with us to share in Peyton's First Christmas morning! This will always be a very special memory for me. Santa delivered a swing, jumparoo, shirts, and some other little things!

Gamma, Grandpa, & Peyton
The rest of the day was spent with more family and a wonderful Christmas dinner. That night we went to Nubnose's house to watch the game. We left the next morning bright and early and needless to say it was very hard to leave. That night Nubnose ( my Aunt) and I cried hugging each other bye. This I blame on the hormones and new mother emotions LOL.

We left Sunday morning to drive back home and Peyton slept the ENTIRE way home. She was definitely worn out from such an exciting vacation! We got to Scott's parents house that evening and had our 2nd Christmas with the rest of our family! Peyton was full smiles with her Gamma and Grandpa.
We had so much exchanging gifts and taking pictures with Peyton and Braxton!

I am so thankful for the amazing Christmas we had this year. I am truly blessed to have an amazing husband, a beautiful & wonderful baby girl, and such loving family members.

3 Months Old

Peyton turned 3 months old on December 10th. WOW, how time flies even faster when you have a baby. She is getting so big! Not sure on her length but she is weighing in at around 12 pounds now.  She has done such a great job sleeping in her crib and continues to sleep through the night.  In the mornings when I get her out of her crib she is nothing but smiles. I love seeing her smile at me. Peyton and I have had many conversations, I could go on and on with her. Since being back at school I have gotten used to the new schedule but I sure am tired! I try to hurry up and get ready in the mornings so I can spend a little bit of time with her cuddling and playing and then I leave as soon as possible after school to hurry home to her. I love walking in the door and seeing her smile at me. She knows that mama is home!!

She did come down with her first cold  this past week  =(   She has been congested mainly at night and in the morning, but it looks like it is going away. It sure is hard to know that your little one is not feeling good.

Here are some of the things she is now doing:

-Giggling out loud. (We have only heard her out loud a few times, but it is the greatest sound in the world)

-She is grasping things now, but only if it is close. Things like my shirt, her own clothes, and her blankets. She does not grab for stuff yet but is able to touch something and then hold onto to it.

-She is super observant, and is able to follow someone/thing in front of her all the way from side to side. She has also started turning her head more in the direction of a sound when she hears it.

-She has done really well with keeping her head up without support. After a while though she has to take a quick break and then is right back up to moving her head around. Scott and I have tried to hold her sitting up so she can strengthen those back muscles that will eventually help her sit without support.

So more great news.......

~Peyton has a new cousin!!!  Braxton Ryan was born on Nov. 30th.  He is a splitting image of his daddy, and is absolutely precious. Peyton loves her new cousin already.

~My sister Jennifer graduated from MSU over this past weekend with her business degree. We are so proud of her!! We went on our first mini road trip to Wichita Falls to watch her graduate. Peyton did really well, she was having fun with me and Weezer in the back seat. And on the way back home she slept the entire time!

Gobble Gobble and more!

1st Thanksgiving
Grampa and Peyton
Our First Thanksgiving as a family was absolutely wonderful!  There are so many things that Scott and I were thankful for this year, or course the number one thing being our beautiful daughter. We are so blessed to have jobs, good health, and loving family and friends. Thanksgiving was  a super busy day, but we had such a great time. We went to Laura and Mel's first and then to my Nanas with my parents. Lets just say that Peyton was never sitting down except for the short, very short nap she had at Lauras. She was being passed around the family like a football haha! She was so exhausted from all passing around that she slept 10 hours that night!!

Nana, Ju, Peyton
Before we left Nanas she went ahead and cured Peyton of any possible "ojo". (In the hispanic culture there is a thing called "Ojo".  It is called the evil eye and happens when people admire babies and do not touch them after. Babies are then said to come down with symptoms of sickness etc. ) She rubbed an egg over Peyton several times and then cracked it into a glass of water. Luckily Peyton did not have too much ojo. There was some air bubbles which meant that she was being exposed to too much air, like a fan or wind. And there was only some pieces of white that were floating. If there is any white in the water from the egg it means that the ojo was taken out of the baby and put into the egg. Peyton is doing just as great as before so luckily we have had no problems with ojo and her getting sick. My mom is a huge believer in "ojo"and that you should always touch a baby after admiring it. (I was even surprised on Halloween night when a mom that was with her kids asked if she could touch Peyton after saying how beautiful she was because she did not want to giver her ojo. I of course said yes by all means touch her LOL. )

Weezer VS Paw Paw (Peyton is neutral)
Over the rest of the weekend Scott, Peyton, and I went shopping and got the house ready for Christmas. We went to Carters, Best Buy, and Target on Saturday. Peyton did awesome being out and about for so long! She is such a champ, Scott on the other hand was pretty ready to go towards the end. On Sunday I got the tree put up and decorated the living room while Scott hung the lights outside.

I have enjoyed this holiday break so much that I am not ready to go back to work tomorrow. Peyton is now cooing/talking so much in the mornings when she gets up. I love laying there and listening to her talk. I can not wait until Christmas break when I  have 2 weeks off!!

On the last note, I am getting so excited about being an Aunt again. Bonnie's due date was officially today but no baby yet. She will be induced on Wednesday if it does not happen by then. I am so eager to find out if I will have a niece or a nephew. I'll post results later this week  =)

Crib Time !!!!

Last night was first night Peyton slept in her crib in her own room. I finally stopped procrastinating and cleaned off her bed and hooked up the video monitor so she could sleep there. I have been saying it for a week now but never did it. I think because really I would love for her to continue to sleep right next to me in the bassinet. It is so easy to lean over and soothe or check on her. Now I will be having to get up and go into the other room. But luckily I have the amazing video monitor. Uncle B bought it for us as our baby gift and it was love at first try! I can see her so clearly and hear everything. The night vision is amazing and the screen is super clear.

So last night after Paw Paw and Weezer left Peyton started falling asleep in my arms so I laid her in her crib. Of course then she was wide eye awake looking around at all the things in her room. I turned on the mobile and she started laughing so I kept it going. And of course me being me wanting to get documentation of everything, grabbed my phone, digital camera, and the video camera haha. I took a few picture and then a short video of her laying in the bed being so observant. Once I finally pulled myself away from watching her I turned the lights out and turned on her sound bear. No later then ten minutes and she was sounds asleep. I can't believe how fast she went to sleep and without a fuss of any sort. Scott and I are truly blessed to have such a good baby  =)

I thought I would have a hard time sleeping with her being in there so I drank a little bit of wine hehe, but I could not even finish half of it lol.  Turns out I did just fine! After getting over the weird feeling of her not being in our room I went to sleep with no problems. During the night I could hear her make noises and then when she got up around 3:30 I could see her eyes open and her arms moving around. Scott fed her and then we just put her back to sleep in the bassinet since it was right there and easy to do.

Overall I would have to say it was a very successful night in her crib!!  Now lets see if tonight goes just as smooth ;)

2 Months Old....

On Wednesday Peyton hit the 2 month mark!!
Peyton is changing so much from day to day and she is starting to show her personality with her grins and smiles. She now weighs 10 pounds 4 ounces and is 21 inches long. I can not believe she is at 10 pounds haha. I went through her clothes and looked at her tiny onesies that she wore the first few weeks at home and how small they look now compared to her.  She has had started kicking her legs a lot more now when she is in her bouncer seat and in her play mat she is kicking and swinging her arms all over the place. Now when I smile at her she smiles back and she loves to give smiles when people talk to her. I try all the time to catch her smile on camera.
Peyton is still sleeping through the night! Scott and I feel very fortunate that she sleeps so well so that we get a good night's sleep too.

Here are a few of her 2 month milestones:

~ She rolled over from her tummy to side, and then she even rolled onto her back one morning for Scott. She was getting upset with tummy time and that is when she rolled herself over. This has only happened once so I figure it was her getting angry that gave her the strength to do it. She does a great job at getting herself into the position to roll over, its just a matter of time before she does it again =)

~On Nov 3rd, the night before I had to go to work, we heard her give a giggle! Scott was in the computer room and I had her on the couch smiling when all of a sudden she giggled. Of course I yelled Scott did you hear that and he was like no way was that a giggle!?! She did it one more time before bed. I consider that my going back to work gift, she wanted to make me feel better.

~When in her play mat we put a rattle in her hand and she is able to hold it all by herself and shake it around for a few minutes and then releases. I can't wait until she grabs it herself.

~ Peyton had her 2 month shots! I should have taken the day off but since I had just started going back to work I didn't but next time she has them I for sure will take off!!! Scott said she was fussy the whole time, I think she knew she was getting them. He said her face turned red and she started screaming. Good thing it only lasted about 10 minutes and she was happy again. She ran fever that night, thankfully it went away with tylenol.

We also started daycare this month!
She is going to a in home daycare really close to our house. Scott and I had interview the women and both really liked her and her home. Peyton has seemed to love going to daycare. There are only 5 other younger children and that will actually go down to 3 next week so even better. Scott takes her every morning and picks her up when he is done with his jobs, but I actually got to pick her up Friday. I was so excited to get to pick her up I was speeding home and of course traffic was an issue just because I wanted to get there lol. While there I mentioned to Charlotte that I noticed Scott had been dressing Peyton in the mornings and had sent her to daycare in an outfit that totally did not go together hahaha!!! I got such a huge kick out of this (Picture to the right) She said she knew that her daddy must have dressed her LOL! Don't get me wrong, I am truly appreciative of my husband for all he does in the morning to get her ready for daycare while I get ready for work. I could not do it without him!! We are told that she is a great baby and we are even getting her on a consistent schedule which is good too. We are very happy that we found Charlotte, she makes us feel our daughter is being very well taken care of.

Weekend update!!

Well I survived going back to work!! The first day back was tough, I only cried a few times LOL. Mainly it was whenever someone asked me how I was doing, the tears would immediately build up in my eyes. But with her pictures all over my desk, the updates from daddy, and my uplifting students I got through it. The kids were soo excited to see me and I got tons of hugs from them and my previous year students. I could not help but be in a good mood with how wonderful and loving my students are.  The day went by super fast since I was busy getting everything back in order and I was home before I knew it. I did spend the entire rest of the evening with my love bug and enjoyed every minute of it. Daddy had a great first time taking care of Peyton all day by himself. He did say that at one time all she did was cry (screaming) for a what seemed like a whole hour. He said he checked everything, put her in the bouncer, napper, swing, play mat and tried the bottle and paci but nothing worked. She finally exhausted herself and went to sleep. Must have been separation anxiety from mommy ;)
He had to make him some milk and cookies because he was so stressed out hahahahaha, that made my day when he told me that!

Friday was much easier to leave and go to work. I was still super busy and the day flew by again!!
Now for some exciting news that happened Friday....Our good friends who we consider to be family, Kris and Alicia had their own little bundle of joy Madelyn Grace. We had my parents come babysit Peyton and headed up to the hospital. Madelyn was beautiful! We are so happy for Kris and Alicia, they are going to be great parents!!

Saturday morning:
Peyton rolled over from her tummy to back for the first time Saturday morning. Of course I was still in bed trying to sleep in, but she did it for her daddy. He tried to get her to do it again on camera but she was crying LOL. I am so proud of my little doodlebug, she is getting so big and learning so much already!

Back to work I go...

Today is the last day of my maternity leave and I am having mixed emotions about going to work tomorrow. I decided to go back to work on a Thursday so that I could have 2 days of school and then the weekend to slowly get back into the swing of things instead of jumping in for a whole work week. I am hoping that this will make it a little easier on me leaving my baby girl for the whole work day.  I am actually really looking forward to being with my students, my team, and getting back into a daily routine. I was only at school for 3 weeks when I found out I was going to have Peyton early. That was not a lot of time to get my yearly routine rolling. During my leave my students have had 2 long term subs ( the first was a sub for a sub) and granted they both did a great job but my students have been through 3 sets of different routines and teachings. I am hoping I can get them into my set of things again with no problems.  I went to school yesterday to meet with  my sub and find out where they are in plans and what has been working for her in the classroom. I was happy to see that a lot was the same and she even gave me a great reward idea that she had been using. I know it's going to take a bit of time to get back in the swing of things at school. Shoot I couldn't even remember when my library day was, I had to ask the sub haha. All the little things like that which were so routine that I did not have to think twice about have now slipped my mind.  I am very thankful though that I have such a great team that I work with. They have done an amazing job taking care of my students and their needs while I have been out.

I know that I will be just fine and will be back at it in now time, but then I think about how I am not going to be with Peyton all day like I have been the last 8 weeks. She will be at home with her dad or at the in home daycare. Of course I know she will be in good hands and totally be fine, but I just know I will miss her. I am also afraid that I will miss something big like her rolling over and other first time milestones. I told Scott last night that if something happens when I am at work he should try to get it on video so I can see it haha. I know I'm just obsessing over little things but it is what I have been used to during my leave. I love that Peyton and I could spend the whole day together in our pajamas, have visitors come and see us, or go run errands whenever I needed to. Now that will have to wait for the weekends and holidays. I will definitely be counting down the days til Thanksgiving and Christmas break.   =)

Peyton's 1st Halloween

Happy Halloween!!!
As we do every year Scott and I carved our pumpkins, but this year we added one more pumpkin to our porch, a baby pumpkin for Miss Peyton. She had her own baby pumpkin that was carved with a P in it. Of course I have to mention how proud Scott was of his pumpkin of Leonard, our boxer. We thought it was very cool that it actually turned out as a carving. Poor Bella as Bonnie has mentioned, no carving of her. This was Peyton's first Halloween and she looked so cute in her tutu pumpkin outfit that her Aunt Bonnie got her. Of course no trick or treating this year, instead we sat on the porch as a family and handed out candy to all the kids in our neighborhood. I was sooo excited about how many trick or treaters we had this year. Last year we lived in our old house and there were a few kids that came by but not near as many as this year. Handing out candy is one of my favorite things to do, and it was even better this year with Scott and Peyton helping me. Scott even said he enjoyed it much more than he thought he would. He would make a comment about every kids costume, telling them how pretty, cool, or scary they looked. I am looking forward to when Peyton is old enough and can walk around trick or treating, it will be so much fun!

Peyton's modeling debut....

This is from the website of Sassy Sugar Blossoms ( I took off some other info/pictures that were on the original website) A friend of ours bought the zebra skirt for Peyton from this boutique and we used it in her newborn pictures.  After I posted the pictures on Facebook the owner of the boutique, Angie asked if she could use the picture of Peyton modeling her product on her website. Of course I said yes, I thought how cool Peyton is a model and she is only 10 days old haha!!!  She looks very pretty in her zebra skirt, and I love this picture!

Sleep Sleep Baby!!

For 3 nights now Peyton has slept for 8 hours during the night, WOW!! The first night it happened I woke up to hear grunting around 4:50am and freaked out thinking oh no I slept through her cries, poor baby is probably starving. I even woke up Scott asking him if he had got up with her but he had said no. I could not believe she has slept for a solid 8 hours, which meant I had got 6 full hours of restful sleep. It was so nice the next day to feel a bit more refreshed and energized after getting a better nights sleep. She has been staying up more during the day so I'm sure that has helped contribute to it. I have tried to keep the schedule the same or close at night so she gets used to it and will continue to sleep through the night. I am sure that will change especially when I go back to work in 2 weeks.

Speaking of work, I took Peyton up to school yesterday! I had to take a picture with my students for the Harvest Festival and it was sooo good to see them. They were all so excited and jumped out of their seats saying Mrs. Carney, Mrs. Carney are you staying today... poor things I had to tell them no but in 2 more weeks. I was so touched to see their bright smiles and all the hugs they gave me so ready for my return. I showed the little one around to my team and the ladies in the office, but not the kids. I did not want them to be around her yet especially with flu season starting. After she gets her shots Ill be able to let them see her, so a few more months.

I can't believe how fast my maternity leave has flown, in 2 weeks I go back. Even though I am looking forward to being with my students I know that it will be so hard to leave my baby girl. I do look forward though to the holidays and the days that I will get to be home with her and off of work!

One Month Old....

Happy "One Month" Birthday

Miss Peyton is one month old today!!! I can not believe how fast this last month has gone by, it feels like we were just coming home from the hospital with her yesterday. This first month of parenthood has brought so much into our lives: joy, love, tears, worry, sleep deprivation, and learning experiences.  I can now lay her in her bassinet and not worry as much about making sure she is breathing as I did the first week we were home. I have only called the pediatrician one time after worrying and that was to make sure her diaper activity was normal. Scott and I now both know what her hunger cues are, we especially love her hunger face or as we refer to it as her "Zoolander face". She makes a little "o" with her lips and leaves them like that for a few minutes haha. Scott is definitely the pro at burping! I can usually get the first 1-2 burps but hardly ever the last burp. Sometimes I have to wake him up at night and have him burp her. I swear all he has to do is put her in position and she lets one out, he has the special touch!

Peyton is gaining weight just wonderfully, as we figured due to her increased appetite! We went for her weight check this past week and were in awe at her weighing 7 pounds 14 ounces!! She has gained 2 pounds since birth. Her cheeks are legs are starting to fill out and she is as cute as ever. She is still in newborn clothes. I have tried to put her in some 0-3 month outfits but they are too big on her.  I can't wait til she can fit in those. We have soooo many clothes for her to wear, many given to us from family and friends.

Some of the things that have happened over this first month:

~ Scott and I ventured out twice on our own leaving her at home with our parents to babysit. The first time was harder than I thought it would be. I cried as soon as we hit the highway! We enjoyed dinner with friends, however by the end of the meal I was ready to get back home to her LOL.  The second time out was not as bad, I didn't even cry. I did however keep thinking something was missing since we did not have her in tow.

~Peyton has started developing her body strength more than what I expected. She is doing so good at trying to hold her neck up when on our chest and pushes her body back into an arch when sitting. I did not know babies could be so strong at such a young age. She has also discovered her  fingers and decided she likes to occasionally suck on her index finger. She now enjoys her bouncer and also loves to sleep in her napper on the pack and play.

~We have enjoyed many outings with friends and family. We like to go to  Bonnie &  Buddys, Mandi & Tony's, or Alicia's & Fletchers house for cookouts and football games. She has made friends with her Godbrother, Daniel Cabrera who is 3 months older than she is. And we can not wait until Madelyn and cousin Carney are here so they too can join in on the fun  =)

~She has started staying awake for longer periods of time and it is fun to watch her take everything in. She will stare at the lights and ceiling fan and I would love to know what she is thinking lol. Sometimes she chooses to stay awake during periods at night when all we want to do is sleep, but its not for too long.

Here is her "One month" picture which course it was on a Sunday when the Cowboys were playing so she is sporting one of her favorite teams:

Bath Tub Fun & Daddy's proud tattoo

This week we had our first "tub" bath. Up until now we have only had sponge baths, but the tub was so much fun!! Weezer came over after work to help me do it. We had her in the kitchen as the pictures show, and of course our station of all items needed ready. Of course bath tubs have changed a little bit since I was a baby so Weezer thought the tub was kinda cool. Not sure a whole lot easier to bath in but still cool.
Bath time has gotten a lot faster and easier now that I am more comfortable giving it. The first time Scott and I bathed Peyton I had the "What to Expect the 1st year" book out reading it step by step as if I was following a cook book recipe. We even videoed the first one and it was well over 15 minutes long haha. Scott made fun of me because I took so long trying to make sure I followed all the steps. Now I can just go with the flow and the time it takes has definitely gone down.  Peyton loves bath time!! She does not fuss at all when we put the water on her or wash her hair. It sure does make it more enjoyable to bath her knowing she actually is enjoying it.

~Daddy's Tattoo
This past weekend Daddy got a tattoo!!  Of course he has wanted a tattoo for a long time but was always so indecisive as to what he wanted.  Not on this one though. He came into the office the other day and said I know what I want to get...a tattoo of Peyton's foot with her name. We played around drawing footprints on paper and his side with permanent marker until we came up with the one he liked most.  Scott and I both love it!! Here it is.....

Surprise, Delivery, 2 weeks old....

Title says it all, so here is the shortened version (still long due to some much has happened in 2 weeks):

~Surprise and Delivery:
On Sept. 8th while walking the dogs I tripped over the curb and hurt my ankle. So on Thursday the 9th we went for x rays ( not broken) but then had to go to Baylor to get evaluated since it was a pregnancy fall. It was there during a sonogram they discovered how low my amniotic fluid was. I got the most unexpected news for the doctor.....You are going to need to deliver her today due to the low fluid. My response:  WHAT?!?!?!  So after being a bawling mess I finally calmed down and came to realize that I was going to have this baby today or tomorrow, a whole month early. We called our families and friends and let them know. Of course I called work frantic to leave my students a whole month early and not as prepared as I planned on leaving them.  My doctor broke my water and then started the drip to speed up labor. That was at 6pm. Our room was filled with friends and family waiting for her arrival. Contractions started picking up and the nurse was having trouble getting them to register on the monitor. After 2 hours ( Im very irritated at this point since it took so long) the doctor on call came and we did an internal monitor.  Still it did not work at reading how strong my contractions were getting. But finally I got my epidural and was in heaven haha!! 45 mins later was being told we were going to be having a emergency C section because Petyon's heart rate was dropping after every contraction. Boy did they move fast! I was very scared at this point. It did not take long until I heard that beautiful cry! On September 10, 2010 at 12:59 am our baby girl was here, with a full head of black hair I might add!!! She weighed 5 pounds 14 ounces and was 17 3/4 inches long. She was so beautiful!!  After what seemed like forever and with horrible shakes we were back in our room surrounded with our family and friends welcoming Peyton Rilynn. After moving to the next room we found out that Peyton had to go to the NICU due to low blood sugar and needed a little help with feeding. She had a feeding tube and IV's hooked up. Scott was with her as much as possible while I healed up enough to go see her. It was tough leaving her there and going and sitting in a room with no baby. We were so blessed to have our family and friends there to support us and give prayers to Miss Peyton. She was in the NICU for 4 days and on our last night she was able to room in with us. It was such good news that she would be able to do that which meant we could leave the next day to go home! We left the hospital and came home with her on Tuesday Sept. 14th.

~Finally home:
The first few days at home were an adjustment. Since we did not have her with us from birth in the hospital it took time getting used to the first couple sleepless nights. I could have stayed awake all night the first night at home just watching her sleep, making sure she was breathing, warm, and ok. We had lots of visitors that came over to see her, help us clean and finish the last minute things we needed to do to the house and nursery that of course would have been done if she had not come a whole month early. They brought us dinner, gifts, and did everything and anything that we needed. We are so thankful to have such great family/friends in our lives to help us out and be there for us.

The dogs, Leonard & Bella did very good with Miss Peyton. They sniffed and licked her feet and were curious to see who this tiny human was. When she cries they go to her bassinet or pack n play to see whats that matter. They are very good with her and listen to us, well most of the time. I think Bella is a little jealous but she is getting better LOL.

We have had 2 doctor visits and as of 9-23-10 she weighs 6.4 and measures 19 inches. Her pediatrician
(who was also mine growing up, which I think is so cool) said she looks perfect and is doing great for a baby born a month early. She is sleeping well at night but has found her window of time to be fussy, right before we go to bed. But for the most part she does not fuss a lot unless she is hungry or needs to be changed. Such a great baby!!

I can not believe that it has been 2 weeks already. Time sure is flying by fast, faster than any other time in my life that I can remember. I have a total of 8 weeks off and look forward to enjoying every minute of them. I'm sure there are things I have left our during those 2 weeks but for now this post is long enough!
